I am so full of anticipation as we seek the Lord together....Not a pumped up kind of excitement, but rather a gentle hope-filled faith and confidence that God is at work among us. In Mexico, in Frisco, and in Paris. I can only bow before Him with thankfulness.
I have read in the Word, and I have heard some say that God loves to work through the small, the weak, the insignificant. Sometimes my human mind doesn't really comprehend that. But this morning I remembered that in the early summer, when the flowers are blooming in profusion in the woods and on the mountain, that my favorite ones are the small, delicate, often
unnoticed flowers. Some are not even recognized in the numerous wild flower books. But when I am walking through the woods, I recognize them and delight in them in their amazing beauty. They cause me to smile and rejoice in their Designer.......The Lord has been speaking to me about how He looks across the earth (He is called "the Watcher of men") and when He sees the small and insignificant man or woman sincerely loving Him and seeking His face, then He smiles and delights in them. So don't let "the accuser of the brethren" tell you that what you are doing makes little difference. Our prayer and worship and crying out to our great God and Father is incense rising to His throne. The Watcher of men is smiling and rejoicing over us!
The Lord your God is in your midst,
A mighty Warrior to save.
He will exult over you with joy
He will renew you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy. Zeph. 3:17

Praying in Russia
As I've been praying for the churches in Frisco, Mexico City, and Paris, the Lord has been putting on my heart growth. Growing not in numbers, although I pray for this too, but for spiritual growth. I'm praying that each church would see people giving their lives to Christ both for the first time and in rededication.
Is as the light of the morning when the sun rises,
A morning without clouds,
When the tender grass springs out of the earth,
Through sunshine after rain.'
"Truly is not my house so with God?
For He has made an everlasting covenant with me,
Ordered in all things, and secured;
For all my salvation and all my desire,
Will He not indeed make it grow?
2 Samuel 23:4-5

Consecration
"Consecration" is a theme that keeps coming to me in the prayer slots that I have had so far. It is a theme that I believe I may weave into my message this Sunday. This coming Sunday is Missions Sunday at Immanuel Fellowship in Frisco. We do this four times a year. I keep remembering that on one of our trips to Paris a few years ago, that was a word God kept speaking to us. More specifically, it is only as we consecrate ourselves before God, that we will be anointed to do all that He has called us. And it is only as we consecrate ourselves before God, that we will be able to stand against the enemy. Are we fully consecrated or have we deceived ourselves in thinking so?
I just finished reading the biography of Hudson Taylor, a missionary who served in China over a hundred years ago. This was probably the 8th or 9th time I have read this biography. Anyway, on the last page of the book, there is a quote from Hudson Taylor that characterized his life:
"An easy-going non-self-denying life will never be one of power. Fruit-bearing involves cross-bearing. 'Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.' We know how the Lord Jesus became fruitful---not by bearing His Cross, but by dying on it. Do we know much of fellowship with Him in this? There are not two Christs--an easy-going one for easy-going Christians, and a suffering, toiling one for exceptional believers. There is only one Christ. Are you willing to abide in Him, and thus to bear much fruit?"
That is consecration. And that is what God is looking for among us.

Earnest Prayer
Pray!! So that in this difficult time, the church would shine with the Life of Jesus!
Pray! That many would hunger and thirst for righteousness, seeing their need for the Savior.
Pray! That there would be many whole-hearted disciples who live for God and His purposes in this earth.
All for God's glory.
I hope to hear from many of you here. I love you! Judy

God Comforts
Isaiah 51:12a
"I--I am the One who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear man..."
"...as you share in the sufferings, so you will share in the comfort."
2 Corinthians 1:7b

It continues to amaze me how time in the presence of the Lord-- calling out to Him, worshiping Him, humbling myself at His feet, pushing past the barriers that keep me from hearing His voice--that time changes each one of us! We aren't the same. Thank You, Lord Jesus.
Toward the end of this past hour, I asked the Lord if He would speak to me through the Word, and as I sat down with my Bible in hand, it fell open to Isaiah 41 to a verse I had marked some time in the past. It reads:
And [I] said to you,
'You are My servant, I have chosen you and not rejected you.
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you,
For I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you.
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'
May the same Word strengthen you. With much love to you all. Judy

I heard a quote this week, and this is my paraphrase:
"Prayer is not preparation for great works; prayer is the great work."
O God, teach us about earnest, continuing, effective prayer.
I am glad to see the unity of this prayer thrust. Keep praying and seeking more of Him!
Lord, do great things among us and through us!

Amazing
So I´ve just ended my amazing time in the presence of the Lord and it wasn´t enough, it felt like 5 minutes!! It´s amazing what happens when we forget about everything that sorrounds us, and just focus for 60 minutes in Him, just 60 minutes!! I mean, I made the purpose of locking my self in my room and just give God all the praise He deserves and it was unbelievable. I felt really strongly to share this verse with you:
1Jn 1:8-9 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
It´s all it takes.
This time was amazing, I couldn´t wait to post about it, so I´ll be really excited to do it all over tomorrow.
Bless you

Expecting Great Things
On Monday we begin our three weeks of 24-7 prayer. As much as any time in the past when we have done a 24-7 cycle, I am excited and expectant to see what God is going to be saying and what God is going to be doing in our midst. I am especially excited because we will be including our brothers and sisters in Mexico City and some very special friends in France as well.
Isaiah 62 speaks of crying out to the Lord day and night asking Him to fulfill His purposes. I trust that we all will have that attitude and heart as we continually come before Him. May we approach Him in faith, confident that these three weeks are not just some religious exercise, but is rather a coming before the Living God who is welcoming us to His throne of mercy and grace. May we be transformed as a result of these three weeks!

Welcome to the Immanuel Prayer Blog
Welcome to the Immanuel Prayer Blog. The purpose of this blog is to record some of the thoughts, prophetic sensings, and impressions we receive as sister churches (Frisco and Mexico City). Specifically, we are now focusing on three weeks of 24-7 prayer July 6 through July 26.
In these three weeks we want to go before the Lord as “watchmen” who are constantly before the Lord asking Him to bring about His purposes in our midst. There are three areas we believe God wants us to focus:
In these three weeks we want to go before the Lord as “watchmen” who are constantly before the Lord asking Him to bring about His purposes in our midst. There are three areas we believe God wants us to focus:
- Let’s ask the Lord to do a deep transformation work within every one of us. Let’s give Him permission to root out any lingering areas of sin, hurts, anything that would keep Him from living His life inside of us.
- Let’s ask the Lord to bring many others into His Kingdom. Our two churches have been called to be witnesses in the Frisco area, in the Mexico City area, and in the Paris area. Let’s ask Him to give us all opportunities to share with those whose hearts He has been preparing.
- Let’s ask the Lord for supernatural breakthroughs in the area of finances. We can pray for God to release financial provision for both the churches in Mexico City and in Frisco, as well as for Immanuel Missions. Let’s also pray for financial breakthroughs for all the brothers and sisters in Frisco, Mexico City, and in Paris.
